Privacy Policy
The short version. We collect what we need to run your account, research your work, and write your pitches. We share it only with the services that make Pitch Parler work, such as hosting, payments and AI writing. We do not sell your information. You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time.
1. Who we are
Pitch Parler, at pitchparler.com, is operated by Platinum Self ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains how we handle personal information when you use Pitch Parler. Questions: use the Contact us form.
2. What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, and password (stored securely, never in plain text), plus the date you agreed to our Terms.
- Billing details: your subscription status and plan. Your card details are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Profile information you give us: your business website, social media, podcast and publication links, and what you tell us about your work.
- Research about you: public information we gather from your website, your links, and public web search results to build your expert profile and pitch angles.
- Your pitch work: the shows you research, reports, pitch emails, your edits and the changes you ask it to remember, contacts, and tracker entries.
- Pitch outcomes: when you mark a pitch sent, booked, declined, or no reply, and the dates. When a show books you, the Service compares that pitch with your other pitches and saves the writing rules it draws, which you can see and delete in the app.
- Search preferences: shows you have pitched or passed on, and the reasons you give when a show is not a good match, so they do not come back in your searches.
- People you pitch for: if you add another person to your account, the profile information, links, and research for that person. Only add people you are authorized to represent.
- Messages you send us: what you write in the Contact us or feedback forms, and the email address you give us to reply to.
- Referral information: if you enter a referral ID or arrive through a referral link, we record which partner referred you and the payments that result, so we can credit that partner.
- Affiliate information: if you apply to be an affiliate, the details you give us (name, email, referral ID, website, how you plan to promote, country, and your PayPal email), your acceptance of the Affiliate Terms with the time and IP address, and the commissions you earn and are paid. We use this to review your application, credit and pay you, and keep tax and payment records.
- Usage information: which features you use and how many pitches and revisions you use, so we can apply plan limits and keep the Service running.
- Technical information: basic information your browser sends, such as IP address, browser type, and device, which our hosting provider may log for security.
If you use voice typing, speech recognition is handled by your browser or device. We receive only the resulting text.
3. How we use it
- To create and run your account and process your subscription.
- To research your work, build your profile, find podcasts, and write and revise your pitches.
- To improve your future drafts from the changes you save and the pitches that book you. This learning stays in your account and is not used to write anyone else's pitches.
- To calculate totals such as pitches sent, shows booked, and booking rates, for you and, in aggregated form that does not identify you, to measure and improve the Service.
- To detect and stop scraping, automated access, account sharing, and other misuse.
- To send you account emails, such as email verification, billing notices, and important changes.
- To apply plan limits, prevent abuse, and keep the Service secure.
- To fix problems and improve the Service.
- To meet legal obligations.
4. Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers who help us run Pitch Parler, and only as needed for them to do that work:
- Supabase: account sign in and database storage.
- Vercel: website hosting.
- Stripe: payments and subscriptions.
- Anthropic: artificial intelligence that writes your profile, reports and pitches. Your profile and research are sent to it to produce your drafts.
- Resend: sending account emails.
- Podcast data providers, including Listen Notes, Podchaser, YouTube, Spotify and Apple Podcasts: we send them search terms and show names, not your account details.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business. We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for advertising.
5. Information about podcast hosts
When you research a show, we look for its publicly listed contact details, such as the email in its podcast feed or on its website. We store these in your account so you can pitch the show. If you are a podcast host and want your details removed, use the Contact us form.
6. Cookies and browser storage
We use your browser's local storage to keep you signed in and to save your work between visits. When you sign out, or a different account signs in on the same browser, the saved work is cleared from that browser. If you open a referral link, the referral ID is remembered in local storage for up to one year so it can be credited when you sign up. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not put tracking pixels in the emails you send.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your personal information within 30 days, except what we must keep for legal, tax or accounting reasons, such as billing records.
8. Your choices and rights
You can view and edit your profile in the app at any time. You can ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it, or delete it through the Contact us form. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act or the GDPR, and we will honor them as those laws require.
9. Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections, secure password storage, and access controls that keep each account's data separate. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children
Pitch Parler is not for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
11. International users
Pitch Parler is run from the United States, and your information is processed in the United States and wherever our service providers operate.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. If a change is significant, we will tell you by email or in the Service before it takes effect.
13. Contact
Use the Contact us form, also found in the app and at the bottom of our home page. We reply to the email address you give us.
